Rebecca Comba
Rebecca Comba joined Charles River Laboratories in 2004 as a Study Director at our Safety Assessment (SA) site in Reno, Nevada. After roles of increasing responsibility at the Reno facility, Ms. Comba assumed the General Manager position in 2017, with a promotion to Regional General Manager (RGM) and Corporate Vice President in 2019. As an RGM, she was responsible for managing the operational performance of four U.S. SA sites and providing strategic leadership to the General Managers and site management teams. The scope of her responsibilities increased in 2021 with the additional oversight of five SA sites, including Canada. In 2025, Ms. Comba was promoted to Corporate Senior Vice President, DSA Operations Leader, where she assumed the operational responsibility for the strategic management and oversight of the combined Discovery and Safety Assessment (DSA) organization, in close partnership with regional DSA leaders to ensure the success of the integrated business globally.
Before joining Charles River, Ms. Comba spent two years working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Microbiologist after obtaining a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology from the University of Nevada, Reno, School of Medicine.
