Matthew L. Daniel
Matthew L. Daniel joined Charles River in 2005 as Senior Corporate Counsel (M&A and Securities) and was named Deputy General Counsel in 2010. He was promoted to Corporate Vice President, Legal Compliance & Deputy General Counsel in 2011, was named a Corporate Senior Vice President in 2017 and became Charles River’s General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer in 2020. His management responsibilities include leading and driving the strategic direction of the global Legal function that supports Charles River’s vision and mission, with oversight of the Corporate Secretary functions, legal business partners, securities, mergers & acquisitions, employment and litigation, legal compliance, intellectual property and corporate governance. Mr. Daniel also has oversight of our global Security function. Prior to joining Charles River, Mr. Daniel was a corporate attorney at Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston, and before that he practiced with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York City.
Mr. Daniel holds a B.A. from Cornell University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
